Lawn Care Technician - Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Lawn Care Technician to join our team! This role involves working outdoors, maintaining residential and commercial properties, and ensuring that our clients’ landscapes look their absolute best. Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:

Pre-Work Preparation:

• Arrive on time and prepared for the workday.
• Load necessary tools and equipment onto the company truck/trailer.
• Inspect and fuel equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
• Review the day’s job schedule and confirm property details with the team.

Lawn Maintenance Duties:

• Mowing: Operate commercial walk-behind, stand-on, and/or riding mowers to cut grass to the appropriate height for each property.
• Edging: Use an edger along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds to create clean, crisp lines.
• String Trimming: Trim around trees, fences, landscaping beds, and other areas where the mower cannot reach.
• Blowing Off Hard Surfaces: Use a backpack or handheld blower to clear grass clippings, leaves, and debris from driveways, sidewalks, patios, and other hard surfaces.

Landscape Maintenance & Enhancements:

• Pruning Shrubs & Trees: Trim and shape shrubs, bushes, and small trees as needed to maintain health and appearance.
• Mulch & Pine Straw Installation: Spread mulch and pine straw evenly in landscape beds to enhance curb appeal and promote plant health.
• General Property Cleanup: Remove fallen leaves, branches, and other debris to maintain a neat and tidy landscape.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
